about

Traditional - learn more: en.wikipedia.org/wiki/The_Three_Ravens

The version I sing lacks the fourth and fifth verses, which I didn't know existed until I went to write up this notation. Also, the version I sing has differences from the traditional in terms of what I suspect are accidental rephrasings from those I learned the piece from.

lyrics

Twa Corbies

as I went walking one May morning
I saw twa corbies making a main
and they went down by the avenue bae o
between the wall and the heather sweet o
between the wall and the heather sweet

“Down in beyond yon old fell dyne
I wont there lies a new slain knight
his hawk has flown, his hound has run o
his hawk and his hound and his lady fair o
his hawk and his hound and his lady fair”

“And you shall a nest make o his hair
and I shall pluck his bonny blue een
and such a feast we now shall mae o
and we shall make our dinner sweet o
and we shall make our dinner sweet”

Wetdryvac's Lair Weld, Maine

Wetdryvac is a consulting device, a musician, and a free will procedural ethicist. This makes for some seriously odd material from time to time, much of which is worked with here as Wetdryvac's Lair.
